Energy Restoration Efforts in the Capital

Efforts continued on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after Russian attacks.

Electricity had been restored to more than 800,000 residents by Saturday and the biggest private energy company stated the key efforts to restore power was concluded though certain disruptions persisted.

Air Defence Actions and UAV Jamming

Ukraine's anti-aircraft systems intercepted or jammed 54 of seventy-eight enemy drones sent towards Ukraine in the dark hours, the aerial defense command reported on the weekend.

Russia's defence ministry claimed it intercepted 42 UAVs from Ukraine over Russian territory.

Cuba Denies Claims of Sending Troops to the War

Cuba on the weekend rejected American allegations it has provided soldiers to engage in the Ukraine war, while stating Cuban authorities "do not have precise information about Cuban nationals" engaged "voluntarily" or "within the troops of either party".
